The Cargo CYPRES 2 is designed to initiate the opening of a cargo parachute used for HAHO or HALO drops.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
The great advantage of using the Cargo CYPRES 2 is that it offers the choice between two different modes and the switch-on process can be done according to the mission profile; on the ground, in the aircraft during the climb to altitude, or in a pressurized cabin.
The dual mode principle features:
In HAHO Mode, the CYPRES reference is the aircraft itself. The CYPRES monitors the flight movements and at the time the load is dispatched from the aircraft, the CYPRES senses the rapidly increasing fall rate of the cargo and activates the cutter. The time delay for activation is approximately 5 – 6 seconds depending on the drop altitude.
In Altitude Mode, the CYPRES activates if the payload reaches 2,500 ft above the programmed ground level pressure (QFE) and the vertical speed exceeds 29 m/s. To adjust the ground level according to your mission, follow the exact same procedure as you would preset any personnel Military CYPRES 2 to a remote landing area.
