Maintenance Process
Learn About Our Protocols
Above All Else, Excellence
As the only service center for CYPRES in the Western Hemisphere, we follow strict maintenance protocols prescribed by Airtec.
If you’re unsure whether to send CYPRES units to SSK or to Airtec, contact us. We’re here to support.
CYPRES Maintenance
It’s highly recommended that all CYPRES units be returned to SSK during years 5 and 10 or – for units manufactured prior to January 2017 – years 4 and 8. Note, some military entities mandate scheduled maintenance for these units.
Maintenance is mandatory on units manufactured before January 2016.
The CYPRES has a maintenance window of plus/minus 6 months:
- To find the maintenance date, turn on the CYPRES, access the unit’s info and look for the next maintenance date. Refer to section 4.5 of the User’s Guide for illustrated step-by-step instructions.
Maintenance cannot be performed prior to 6 months before the date of manufacture anniversary:
- If the DOM is 08/19, as an example, and 5-year maintenance is due, then the maintenance date will display 08/24. Considering 6 months on either side, the true window is 02/24 through 02/25.
- The date of manufacture (DOM) is found on the:
-
- Processing unit (black box)
- CYPRES Test Certificate that came with the new CYPRES
- Reserve packing data card
If you can’t locate the DOM, email us the CYPRES serial number and we’ll sort it out.
